FAQ

Do I need an appointment?

An appointment is not necessary needed as we do have walk in-patients however many time during the day we are very busy and unfortunately patients are forced to wait. We will be happy to schedule an appointment at your convenience.

What Is the Cost?

The cost of the exam, including medical work up, physical examination, PSA testing, Testosterone testing, Doppler ultrasound to measure penile blood flow including 1 full year of office visits and counseling is normally $299.00 but we are having a website special, so the price for the exam is only $99. Medication costs are in addition to the physician fee and range from $5.00 to $30.00 depending upon the medication that is prescribed. Each patient is different with different needs so I am sorry that we cannot be more specific on the medication cost. In addition, we affirm that if we cannot help you there will be no charge whatsoever.

Does Insurance Cover This?

We do not accept insurance, however we do provide you with a super bill that you can turn into your insurance company. Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO’s do not cover the cost of treatment, however many PPO’s will cover at least a portion of your treatment (usually 80%). If you have a Flex Medical or Health Savings Account those accounts should cover your costs. If insurance is an issue, I would suggest that you check with your human resources department or the insurance company directly to ascertain coverage.

Insurance policies greatly differ as to the extent of prescription coverage or whether certain medications will be covered at all. On the back of your insurance card or prescription card you will find a telephone number for customer service. Call that number and ask for the address of where to send your receipt for prescription reimbursement. Send them the receipt for your examination and medication (the ‘Superbill’ that we provide to you). Be sure to retain a copy for your records.

The amount of your reimbursement will vary due to the conditions and terms of your individual policy. Your insurance company will tell you whether they will cover the cost of a physician exam for erectile dysfunction and/or medications.

How much will insurance cover?

Due to the variations in insurance companies’ coverage, examinations and medication will be reimbursed according to your specific plan. Whether your insurance company covers these costs or not, your medication will always be available for purchase at Prime Male Medical
